Chess

Play chess with a friend on one device or against a three-level AI. Legal moves are highlighted, with undo, promotion, and a move list.

Chess that works without internet

The full rules (castling, en passant, promotion, check, checkmate, draws) are handled by the chess.js library. The AI is written for this site: minimax with alpha-beta that scores material and piece placement, looking one to three moves ahead depending on the level. Good for practice and learning, not a match for professional chess engines. Your game is saved automatically, so you can continue any time.
