Othello strategy

In Othello, the number of discs in the middle of the game matters less than you think. Corners are what count: a disc in a corner can never be flipped. So avoid the squares next to an empty corner and try to leave your opponent without good moves. The hard AI uses minimax with alpha-beta pruning and a classic square-weight table.
