Five-Letter Word Guess

Guess the five-letter word in six tries, Wordle-style. One shared word every day, plus unlimited free play.

How to play

Type a five-letter word and press enter. Green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word but elsewhere, and gray means it is not in the word. The daily word is the same for everyone on the same date, so you can compare results with friends using the copy button. Guesses are checked against a bundled English word list.

How to install the app

This browser has not offered an automatic install button yet. Install it from the browser menu:

Android (Chrome)
Tap the ⋮ menu at the top right, then choose "Install app" or "Add to Home screen".
iPhone / iPad (Safari)
Tap the Share button (the square with an up arrow), then choose "Add to Home Screen". On iOS this only works in Safari.
Computer (Chrome / Edge)
Click the install icon (a monitor with a down arrow) at the right end of the address bar, or menu ⋮ → "Install Daily Apps".
