Compass & Qibla

A digital compass from your phone’s sensors, with cardinal directions and a qibla pointer from your GPS location. Works without internet.

A compass in your browser, no app needed

The heading comes from your phone’s magnetometer through the browser’s orientation sensor. On iPhone, allow motion & orientation access when asked. The qibla direction is computed from your GPS coordinates (no internet needed) to the Kaaba using the great-circle bearing formula. Because a compass reads the magnetic field, keep the phone away from magnets, speakers, or large metal objects, and calibrate with a figure-8 motion if it drifts.
